MYS 2006 Exchange

Here's the list:

Received a tuck pillow and MA from Angie. Bookmark and Needlebook from Rozita, Sampler ornament from Margaret. That's five.... oh! forgot to include the biscournu pincushion from Zalita. Altogether six.

Thank you ladies for a year of exchanges. It has been fun to received them in the mails.

Sorry about my tardiness for the passed few months.

Just a recap. I have posted out a biscournu to Margaret, needlebook to Angie, bookmark to Zalita. Here's the last three... a sample ornament to Zalita, Tuck pillow and MA type pouch for Rozita.

Aion Nutty Stitcher's RR finally came home..

What can I say, it has been so long that I even forgot my password to this blog. I haven't been updating not because of anything but laziness and mental block, if you know what I mean... or you can say I have been busy with other things.

This RR had travelled far and finally make it home. And I absolutely love it. My theme is Classic Doors and we started this RR Jan 2005...

Thank you Sylvie, Elaine, Crystal, Jacqui, Kristy, Tina, Angela and Angie, who actually wanted to stitch 4 squares to send it home finished. Angie managed to stitched 2 squares before giving in to work/studies pressure. I did tell her that it will be too much for her to finish the 4 squares and really appreciated that she finished 2.

I can't wait to start stitching the other 2 squares. Hope to find the time soon...

A rose bouquet and a couple of classic cars...

For Veronica's RR. The chart was supplied by Vero. Not too bad, huh?

These 2 cars are for Sherryn's RR. Hope that her son Brayden will like them as the RR is for him.

Phew! Another RR completed. Just waiting for mine to come home...

Mini Spanish Cottages 6

As usual, I could have finished this Michael Powell design long ago. But was sitting on the outlines. Finally put in the last stitches a couple of nights ago when I should be doing something else...

This is my first Michael Powell finished and I hope to do more of them if I can. I stitched the above on 14ct white Aida with DMC threads.

MYS 2006 exchange - Needlebook.

I never knew if this needlebook reached its receipant safely.. Checked the PO tracker, it only says arrived at the Subang Jaya post office.

I'll post here anyway, since I have nothing better to post about. Yes, Harsha. I did not forget about my blog. I was just not in the zone. If I am using the phrase correctly, LOL!!

Sylvie, I am glad you like your RR. I enjoyed stitching on it. I hope Angie is not having too difficult a time stitching on mine. Incidentally, this needlebook is for another Angie!

Sent home 12 Funny Cats...

My last commitment in my Aion Nutty RR. Its a 12 person RR and it took one and a half years to travel around the globe and finally it went home to Sylvie in June.

This Picture was taken by Sylvie. I have to copy it and upload here. Hope you don't mind Sylvie. The picture I took is really blurry. LOL!

I actually stitched Margaret Sherry "Just purrfect" and the Tom Cat. These 2 blurry pics I took with my phone camera.

I am still awaiting for my "Classic Doors" to arrive home. Can't wait to ooh aah over it...

Another Wednesday..

Sorry I haven't been posting in the internet world this past couple of weeks. Actually, I am around just have nothing much to say. Been distrated by other mundane stuffs or maybe not in the mood. I am also thinking that perhaps I am having an early menapause... LOL!!

Harsha, I have been to the framers in Perling that you recommended. Will be going to pick up that wedding sampler tomorrow. I do have other pieces that I have to send. But did I mention that I am a procrastinator?

This weekend I have a 2 days mandatory CPE course to attend. Maybe I can do some stitching while listening. Just have to sit right at the back. ^_*

I still have a few RR to work on but have been slowly poking on my Michael Powell piece instead. There is another exchange due 1st of June with MYC.

Nik, will try to get our Buzz RR done soon. Have started to frog... sorry for being so slow. Will have to shake off this lethagyness towards stitching!

Don't miss me too much....

An update...

Thanks for admiring my Mail Arts. I haven't been updating my blog partly because I have been busy and also my desktop at home crashed on me. I had to bring my notebook home today thinking I better update something.

I went to Singapore last Thursday evening for my fresh supply of Korean drama and movies and then I was in KL over the long weekend. Did I say I was busy?

Nik, sorry I could not meet up with you. KL seems like a very big place especially when I have to depend on someone to drive me around. Managed to save a lot since I did not get to Yee’s or Haby’s. But did go to Amcorp Mall and guess what? I bought 4 mags…

Sylvie, I don't remember how many MA's I have stitched... I have lost count, LOL!!! By the way, I have finished Elaine's WTP. Wanted to scan it before I post to you, unfortunately my scanner is installed on my desktop. I tried to install it on my notebook but I can't find the software.

So, have not been updating also because am pictureless. I have done a MA exchange with Mail Art Friends. You can see the MA I send to Zalita here in her blog. I have also sent Zalita a bookmark for our MYS 2006 exchange. I have no idea if my Spring exchange with Stitchers Bloggers Exchange Board has reached it destination but the postal tracker did say it arrived in NY. I have taken a pic but its in the camera which is not compatible with my notebook. Again, unable to load.

Hi Gina, thanks for stopping by and adding me to your sidebar. I am glad you like my Mail Arts. Maybe we can do a MA exchange sometime.

Zohrah, ^_* the rotating photo flick can unfortunately accomodate 4 pics only. Thanks for dropping by.

TTFN....

So it's all about Photo Flick

Ok, I'll admit it. I wanted to practice this Photo Flick thingy from Picturetrail.....

Err... many more

More Mail Arts...

Some more Mail Arts that I had stitched previous year. I enjoyed stitching them and sending them off. Glad that I actually took pics so I can still look at them. Thought that I share them here... ^_*

My first few MA's.

Am experimenting with posting the above picture. Thanks for the tip from June about using PictureTrail to host the pics.

13th April 2006

This is what how I feel like today or was it most of the time? Actually, from what I heard its how I look like! "You look like you just woke up!"

I did finish it!

.... last week. My colleagues got sick of me showing them the unfinished item. "You mean you still have not finished it?" Well, the wedding is not until June...

Let's see how long it'll take me to send it to the framers. That 's another difficult decision to make. I have a few finished pieces still pending, don't know which framer to send it to. All because I don't want to have patches showing up years later as it had happened to some of my older framed pieces....

Edit: Just to add that the above design is by Joan Elliott for Design Works Crafts, Inc. Published by Leisure Arts.

Charity's Angel RR

I stitched this for Charity's RR, part of the 6 person RR from EMS board. Finished it last week but didn't get a chance to scan it till now.

Finally it arrived!

This MA I did for Daniella in the EMS board MA exchange - Snowman. Sure took its time to find Daniella but I am glad it finally did!

Wednesdays...

Its badminton night... and also WIP work night. Sigh! Am too tired to pick up the needle at the moment. Then again if I a here, that means I am not stitching.... LOL!

I think I should go to bed early tonight. I am thinking of changing my blog skin and add in links and other stuffs. But it will have to be some other time when I am more able to make decisions.

Animals..

Harsha, here's the pic... LOL! Sorry kind of late. I just scan it last night and that also I almost forgot. I was working on another RR while watching my korean drama and found a miscalculation.. spent a long time deciding whether to frog or to continue. In the end the frog won.

I have stitched the Lion and Horned Owl for Sharon. Here's a closer look... ^_^

MYS VSE exchange...

I know I am late in posting, Valentine came and gone.

This was stitched for Aniza for the VSE exchange. I only do the stitching part. The blank card I bought from Nik.

PS. Found this in my draft folder... wondered why I never got it publish.

March 1st

Where have I been? My last update was 10 days ago...

I can list down the usual excuse but basically just one word - lazy. Of course, have nothing much to say either.

Been stitching on RR. Finished Sharon's piece from Aion Nutty Stitcher's RR. Will try to scan tonight and post. Was supposed to do it last night but of course was doing something else.

Ta for now..

EMS board - MA exchange

Last week, I received this absolutely gorgeous MA from Louison. What can I say... I love everything about it!! Check out the snowmen buttons. And the colours are just so vibrant.

Did I ever mention before that I wanted to stop doing exchanges and concentrate on stitching for myself? What was I thinking!! LOL!

Biscournu for MYS "Surprise Exchange 2006"

This came in the post this afternoon from Zalita. Eventhough I was busy, still can find time to go show off to my colleagues while happy dancing away... ^_* Isn't it lovely? This picture was taken by Zalita and I just copied to post it here.

And this is my first attempt on biscournu. I had reservations if I could do it but it wasn't that difficult to put it together. Had more problems deciding what to stitch. And also my 2nd time using evenweave. Glad it safely arrived at Margaret's. Picture curtesy from Margaret.

Here We Come A-Caroling

This one is for Charlene's RR. Really didn't have much more to stitch and I kept Sherryn waiting and waiting...

Still, there is something missing. Want to make a guess what is it?

Was supposed to stitch my name on it and post it this morning but haven't got a chance to do it. Will go to the post office tomorrow.

Crystal's RR

I tried to upload this pic to my webshot album but I forgot my password. So am unable to log in to webshot from this desktop that I am using right now. That's for having the password save for easier log in on my notebook. I swear if something happen to the notebook, I'll have to emailed for passwords as I won't be able to remember them. And it seems so logical when I first register myself anywhere....

Anyway, was just checking and I only have 3 more pieces to stitch on for this 12 person RR. So looking forward to have mine home soon.

Aion Nutty Stitchers RR

A cottage for Crystal's RR, I finished this last week. Wanted to stitch another one but got side tracked and was also reminded that I have other exchanges due.

So, I guess I'll just go ahead and post this out to Sylvie tomorrow as I don't think I'll be able to stitch another one soon.

EMS Valentine 2006

Just finished this, EMS new freebie "Sending you my love". One guess what I am going to use this for.... LOL! Mail Art, of course. Am going to send it to my elder sister...

Right, I was supposed to finish the Wedding Sampler yesterday or was it the day before. Looks like I was doing something else....

Monday, January 16, 2006

Still unfinished yet...

thinking of starting new projects. Then was reminded today about the Valentine stitch card exchange and Margaret's 2006 exchange which are due early Feb.

I don't know why, am always very excited to start a new piece and seeing the colours coming together but when it gets to the end expecially the backstitches... really needs a lot of motivation to get it done. Example the Wedding Sampler. I better set a target to finish it by tomorrow. Hopefully I won't start on EMS new Valentine 2006. But the pull is towards the other direction...

At least I got an RR done, will scan it later. Don't have enough socket for the power plug. Have to switch off the modem before I can use the scanner. (Note to self: To get a multi-socket extention)

Not to forget got some more to go on Lene's RR. I better sign off now and start on the Valentine heart... ^_*

Jan 15th

I know I need exercise but the thought of it is just too tiring...

Tuesday, January 10, 2006

Jan 10th

10 days already into the New Year 2006 and what have I done?

I have finally got streamyx installed at home. First it was the line and then the modem. Got a new modem but did not read instruction and was sitting there wondering why am I not connected to the internet!!

Anyway, today is a holiday here - Hari Raja Haji. Literally means the ‘festival of pilgrimage’. It is the festival marking the day of pilgrimage to Mecca, the fifth tenet of Islam. Hari Raya Haji is known to many as Hari Raya Aidil Adha. This festival is celebrated by Muslims to honour pilgrims who have completed their Haj to Mecca.

Am still a little groggy from sleeping too much. Maybe this broadband thing is not such a good idea for home. Just woke up and on the internet already. I need to do something else...

And I also have a couple of RR to finish.

Ta for now.

2005 Report Card

This was my biggest project in 2005. Glad Shamrocks by Pamela Kellogg. It was another mystery-stitch-a-long piece finished end of March. I was among the first to finish but because I amended the 2005 with the chinese character 'Spring', I was not qualified to win the first-to-finish prize. But later Pam felt bad about it and offer 2 of us that finished it first but not as designed, half the prize money. Pam really didn't have to do that, it was a pleasure stitching this piece.

Other that this, didn't really have much to list down for my report card.

I did stitch Lizzie Kate's Homework - Only dull women have immaculate homes. My older sister didn't like the saying. She wants a immaculate home and she is not dull! LOL!! But I love this piece....

Other finished mostly small designs for MA's and a 12 person RR which is still on going and a 6 person RR. I did plan to stitch more for myself towards end of 2005 but again I have already succumbed to exchanges. So, I suppose my 2006 report will be mostly exchange pieces....
