About being lazy and doing nothing...

“I’m doing nothing” is what you say when you really don’t want to say what you’re doing. Or, it’s what you say when you don’t know what you’re doing. - nothing important

Whenever I think of doing nothing which I have been doing, it will remind me of something I read from Winnie the Pooh. So, I goggle as you can find almost anything you can't remember goggling, and found Nothing's important - an interesting read about nothing.

I was looking for this:

“I like that too,” said Christopher Robin, “but what I like
doing best is Nothing.”

“How do you do Nothing?” asked Pooh, after he had wondered for a long time.

“Well, it’s when people call out at you just as you’re going off to do it ‘What are you going to do, Christopher Robin?’ and you say ‘Oh, nothing,’ and then you go and do it.”

“Oh, I see,” said Pooh.

“This is a nothing sort of thing that we’re doing now.”

“Oh, I see,” said Pooh again.

“It means just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear, and not bothering.”

“Oh!” said Pooh.

I laughed aloud when I read this many years ago and somehow it stuck in my mind. I wonder what goes through a kid's mind when reading the book. Is it a good idea to recommend a child to read Winnie the Pooh?

The question is..... what was your impression on that story when you first read it as a child (presumably you read it as child?)... so no worries....

A story presents a different outlook at different times in our lives.....

Emily, I read it as an adult. Wonder why I never come across it when I was a child. My point is will a child understand this thing about nothing? LOL!!
