Abandon and found...

The hot topic is crochet at NNC... rather a few members were picking up crocheting and are doing grannies... so I went to look for my crochet hooks and found...

Can safely say that this piece was done in the 1990's, LOL!!! I never finished it, probably because I was not satisfied with the tension of the whole thing...

MA from Radha

Found this on my table when I got home in the evening. Thanks Radha. I really did not expect this and it is far from "less than perfect". The finishing is not disastrous. And I am glad you decided to post it out instead of keeping it. I suppose one is always more critical of ones work. Most importantly is that I love it!
One thing I didn't like though, is that the postal clerk got the postmark right smack in the middle of the stamp. Its like they are afraid they will dirtied the 'envelope'. But I would rather see the stamp.... ^_*

Was wondering where my post went to as I had posted this very early this morning..... Found it in the drafts.

French Stamps

Something I have been working on like forever... Haven't touch it for a while.

WIP - House of provence

Thought I post an update. Just the outline left.... don't know why am taking so long! Distracted by other things, like mail arts for one, two, three or ten!

Old crochet piece.

Saw this on the kitchen table a few days ago. Don't know where my SIL dug it up. It must have been more than a decade ago that I crochet this.

Mail Art again.

I haven't finished a Mail Art for a long time. I had a lot of big plans... meaning I have stitched some but never finish any to post it out.

Anyway, the topic came up at NNC. I said that I had a few that just needed a name on them. Here's one I stitch back in 2006, a valentine freebie from EMS. It went to ....

Haven't heard from Radha if she has received it but the registed mail tracker said it has been delivered.....

Another UFO...

Can't remember if I started this piece in 2005 or 2006. Its a chart from DMC that I got with my stock of DMC flosses. And I was supposed to stitch 2 of this. At first I thought the uncle wanted to stitch this piece and I tried to kit it up for him. But he actually wanted to buy the materials for me to stitch for him. LOL!!!

And I thought if I stitch this for him, I have to stitch one for my dad, too. The story hasn't ended yet as this is not a WIP but more a UFO now....

Results for the DMC National Cross-Stitch Competition 2007

Was seaching thru the Star papers this morning. Didn't find it the first time so had to read page by page. Can't remember the last time I actually read thru the newspaper page by page. Still alot of focus on the politics...

Finally found it on page SM20, a 2" by 5" announcement of the top price winners. Congratulations to all of them. Anyone you know?

The consolation prize winners names were not announced. But I know one of them..... *coughs* LOL!!!

A surprise...

The phone rang and my colleague was asked to collect a parcel from the office. She was not expecting anything....

Congratulations! You have won the consolation prize for the category you have participated....

That was for the DMC National Cross-Stitch Competition 2007. Result will be published in The Star, Sin Chew and Utusan newspapers tomorrow the 16.03.2008.

And the entry was ....

Sunset over Paris

Another unfinished piece. Found this picture in my backup drive. Don't remember where I keep the real thing. Must search thru my pile of xstitch stuffs....

House of Provence

Bottom left is Shop, not quite finish. Still got some more backstitching to go.

Still working on Church and Cafe ...

Pithead

Here's another piece done after the earlier Venice...

MP - Venice

*Laughs* Actually can just use "Paint" program to resize the pictures. No big deal about it. And here I thought have to do a lot of things...

I finished this piece a while ago. Don't think I post it before but perhaps some have seen it already.

Tuesday

Ok, so I'd a new look for a day already. Have to update the layout and setting. Write a profile?

There was this acticle in 8 days (a singapore tv guide magazine)....

"Local dating website HITCHOO is giving US$100 to members who can't get a date by Valentine's Day. Pranksters that we are, we try our darnedest to win the cash. BY ANGELINE TSE"

So, how to pocket US$100, first detect the loophole in dating portal's policy then hatch plan, starting with a fugly picture. 3rd, create a scary profile...

"My bogus profile reads: "I like Korean dramas, cross-stitching, reading cookbooks....."

Their bogus profile sounds like my profile and is it a scary profile!!?

First, I wanna have a new look.

Will see how it goes.

Aion Nutty Stitcher's RR finally came home..

What can I say, it has been so long that I even forgot my password to this blog. I haven't been updating not because of anything but laziness and mental block, if you know what I mean... or you can say I have been busy with other things.

This RR had travelled far and finally make it home. And I absolutely love it. My theme is Classic Doors and we started this RR Jan 2005...

Thank you Sylvie, Elaine, Crystal, Jacqui, Kristy, Tina, Angela and Angie, who actually wanted to stitch 4 squares to send it home finished. Angie managed to stitched 2 squares before giving in to work/studies pressure. I did tell her that it will be too much for her to finish the 4 squares and really appreciated that she finished 2.

I can't wait to start stitching the other 2 squares. Hope to find the time soon...

A rose bouquet and a couple of classic cars...

For Veronica's RR. The chart was supplied by Vero. Not too bad, huh?

These 2 cars are for Sherryn's RR. Hope that her son Brayden will like them as the RR is for him.

Phew! Another RR completed. Just waiting for mine to come home...

Mini Spanish Cottages 6

As usual, I could have finished this Michael Powell design long ago. But was sitting on the outlines. Finally put in the last stitches a couple of nights ago when I should be doing something else...

This is my first Michael Powell finished and I hope to do more of them if I can. I stitched the above on 14ct white Aida with DMC threads.
