Finally, Pamela confirmed it has arrived... Sorry again for the long delay. The picture is not very well taken, should have taken with the trimmings.

Seaside Mail art for Lillie
My stitching has taken a back seat ever since Clark Hatch opened. Was supposed to mail this MA out in July but I just couldn't get it finish. There was always something or another. I know they were all excuses, tiredness, laziness, no mood .... Is there one word in English that can describe all of it?

This MA was posted out by Pos Express on Monday, so Lillie should have received it unless she is not home. I'd also mailed out the Summer Mail art to Pamela and will post it next week when it is supposed to arrive. MW is shaking her head and cane ready in hand to come chasing after me... probably that's why I am shying away from the group. Out of sight, out of mind? ^_*

Quaker Theme Mail Art
Finally, the long awaited Mail Art that I was supposed to mail out last month! Thanks for your patience, Lene.
It wasn't difficult to make, just can't make up my mind what to stitch and then after that do not have a matching backing fabric until I found it at Tini's.... ^_* All the delay, because I was lazy tired to pick up my stitching after gym. Finally finished it when I did not go to the gym for a few days.....

I think I like the triangle stamp best.... LOL!!!

Mail Art Seaside and Summer Theme Exchange...
Received these last week from Lillie and Pamela for the exchange at NCC. Sorry to say that I have yet to mail out mine to them. I am so way behind. I found out that there is a trade off, if I go to the gym, I'll be too tired after that to do any cross-stitch. When I do cross-stitch, I'll be going to bed really late and wake up late in the morning and hence no bento. Does that mean that cross-stitch is not good for my health? ^_*
This Seaside theme MA is from Lillie. I was thinking of stitching lighthouse too for her MA... LOL!! But good thing I changed my mind and stitched something else.
There is a cute little rubber seahorse at the back and the backstitches were something she made up. Wonderful, isn't it?
Summer Theme MA from Pamela. Stitched on linen band? Very nice. I don't think we can get this type of fabric here. Pam also send some postcard of the lovely view from her home, a pinkeep and a blackbird designs chart.

Lovely closing with 2 cute little ladybugs...
Lille and Pamela, thanks for your wonderful MA's. Your's will be on the way really soon. Sorry again for the delay.

Bird Theme Mail Art
This was another exchange at Mail Art friends organized by Kita because she loves all types of birds. My partner in this exchange also happened to be Kita.
Part of my fascination with Mail arts is because I used to collect stamps and first day covers. I still collect them if I happen to come across them selling at the post office or any nice one on an envelope. I'll always try to match the stamps to the theme of the Mail Art, if there is one. ^_*
For this MA, I actually went to the post office to have it weighted for the amount of stamps to put use. Came back to choose the stamps and sticked it on before going to mail it out again the next day....
Well, it took its time to arrive but Kita said it got the ladies at the PO all excited when it arrived... LOL!! That's fun to know.
Kita sent me this lovely MA together with a couple of postcard from Tennessee, a photo frame and a bookmark. The only thing is that Kita mailed them all in an envelope and there is no stamps on the MA. I also love the bird print fabric Kita used for the backing.
I forgot to take a pic of the inside. Will update later. Lovely parrot, no?

Red Theme Mail Art From Margaret
Actually the theme for this exchange was Red/Blue theme but most of the members chose Red Theme. Margaret went to the PO to get it post marked and was the 'postman' herself delivered to me during the Stitching Bee....^_* Quaker design stitched on evenweave.
I just love this closing. The ribbon was weave through the fabric and tied at both ends. I am going to copy this closing on my next MA...
The goodies inside; some speciality floss and a card or I thought it was a card until I opened it. Forgot to take a pic but there are actually needles inside. Not just a few but 2 rows of them.!!!
Thanks for a great exchange Margaret.

Mail Art from Lody.
This is a personal exchange between Lody and I. I still have not decided what to stitch but Lody has already sent this with some other things together in a package to Margaret. It arrived just in time for our Stitching Bee last Saturday for Margaret to passed to me.
The back
Isn't it pretty? It is Lody's own design and 100% hand-sewn! Supposed to be the size just nice for a cheque book. But our cheque books are bigger here. ^_* There are partition inside and I thought of using it for a purse.
Thanks again Lody, now I must go figure what to stitch for you.

Red Theme MA exchange for Taija
I had mailed this Mail Art out on the 11th of June and it arrived at Taija's on the 18th.

I stitched this MA on 18th ct white DMC Aida. Normally, I use 14ct Aida. Which reminds me that I forgot to answer Emily's question about her MA. Emily, it 14ct... ^_*

Here's the back of the MA. I love this pair of birds. Those of you who are stitching EMS Rose Sampler might find it very familiar....

Mail Art all the way from Belgium
I don't normally go home in the afternoon but I did today to collect something for courier to Penang... that's another story. And looked what I found in the Mailbox...

A very colourful and cute Teddy MA for an exchange at Mail Art Friends from Janien who lives in Belgium. It is also the heaviest MA that I ever received. I never knew one can pack so much in a MA... and a bar of chocolate, too. LOL!! I am absolutely amazed.

Thank you, Janien for a fabulous Mail art.

Back to Mail Arts....

Wanted to post this on Tue, but the pictures are really blurry... Managed to finished 4 MAs on Vesak Day. One is actually for an exchange at Mail Arts Friends , the theme was 'Teddy bear' due for mail out on the 20th of May. Will post a pic for that later when its confirm received...
On Tue, I went to the GPO and bought 4 registered mail stickers. Have to go to another counter to get the proof of posting stamp... I just asked the postal clerk, as he was admiring my MAs, if he could postmark the above for normal post. Perhaps he was distracted by my other MAs which I was sticking the registered stickers, he just postmark the above and passed it back to me.... LOL!! The previous PO refuse to postmark for me, said I must mail it out to get a postmark.
So, my colleague Grace, got the above hand delivered. Finally she received a Mail Art after more than 2 years (yes, apparently it was that long). That also because she said she is moving soon.... LOL!!!

MA from Radha
Found this on my table when I got home in the evening. Thanks Radha. I really did not expect this and it is far from "less than perfect". The finishing is not disastrous. And I am glad you decided to post it out instead of keeping it. I suppose one is always more critical of ones work. Most importantly is that I love it!
One thing I didn't like though, is that the postal clerk got the postmark right smack in the middle of the stamp. Its like they are afraid they will dirtied the 'envelope'. But I would rather see the stamp.... ^_*
Was wondering where my post went to as I had posted this very early this morning..... Found it in the drafts.
