I got the above quote from Criminal Minds Season 5 Episode 22. One thing that I did the past few months was watching a lot of drama such as CSI (Original, New York and Miami), NCIS(Original and LA), Flash Forward, etc.

This Episode was about a serial killer who used the internet to find his victim on social networking sites. As if I am not paranoid enough about internet security, I have to scare myself silly about what to share on the internet. So, what is my business keeping a blog?

As Special Agent Rossi said:

Rossi: Can somebody explain to me the appeal of these sites? "Eating sushi tonight yum." "Boss is keeping me late tonight grrr." Whose life is so important that we'd be interested in this kind of detail?

That set me thinking… do YOU really want to know what I did yesterday? LOL!!!

While farming, I made this..... all because Emily says it is nice! So, I made this with her in mind.

I wasn't very sure reading the instructions but just crocheted and sewed the sides together anyhow. Managed to finish the first one 3 weeks ago with some calculation error ending with one hole less for the drawstring. Luckily, I did not ask for Emily's address before I finish it. I thought I quickly make and send it off before I lose interest...

I used Nona 88, 95, 63 and 89 for anyone who is interested to know. Anyway, I thought the colours were too bright and went to get something more pastel. I used the same purple and green, with a lighter blue and orange. Problem was the orange was Minlon and not Nona. Thinking the Minlon was a little thinner, I used two strands of different colours for the orange part. Anyway, ended up with different tension and got this....

All the while I was using the first one I made for my computer's adapter and carrying it with my notebook. Of course, I got a lot of oohss and ahss which spurs me to buy more yarns. (Its 10 sen cheaper each roll in a pack of five one colour.)

I made a couple more but still no sign of Emily's .... LOL!!! Meaning it was given away to someone else.

After the 3rd one, I should know what I was doing but obviously I was still unsure of the instructions....

They all look almost the same, you won't know if I say this is the one I made for Emily. ^_* I wanted to surprise Emily but she already guessed when I said am sending her something. So, I better blog it up before laziness sets in again. I still have enough yarns for 3 more!

Most important is that I am happy making them, right?

Around that time a few years ago when I was registering in some forums due to the Korean drama addiction, I was reading this book :

Well, the hobbit's name was actually Bilbo... and that was what I used to register as my user id. But when I tried to log in again, I keep getting wrong password message. It was later that I found out that my user id was actually Biblo and so it stayed.... ^_*

They are the ones that call you up at 11 am for breakfast on a Sat morning...

Yes, this one behind the newspaper. And it is a known fact that breakfast can also mean lunch, shopping or driving around looking at show houses... so there is no point in asking, how long is this going to take? Just be prepared to spend at least a few hours and if you don't put your foot down, it might end up with dinner as well. Luckily, I refused the suggestion for a foot massage and arrived back in Pontian around 4.30 pm, a few hours late for my weekend job.

This time breakfast also means going to a golf club house without a membership.

Of course, your friend said we were doing field study for the Nusantara area. Is it worth to buy the company's stock behind these projects? *cough*

Anyway, I was feeling dizzy and nausea(I have this motion sickness problem) from the driving around that we ended up at the club house having a drink.

Tiles should be done by tomorrow, hopefully. Was not supposed to go into the room but couldn't help myself... must follow the squares to the bathroom!

The termite people came and pronounced that the termites no more biting, meaning they are dead. The "bait" has been removed. Work will continue next week.... YES!

Well, my room still look like this after a month.

All because of that "bait" thingy for the termites. That's the box between the ladder and plastic bag.

The new aircon is up already. Keeping the fan.

The bathroom made more progess. I did not take new pictures but already using it.
My SIL went to the GH for check-up. Went to use their toilet and guess what? Their tiles are colours exactly like mine... sigh!

Fried fish drown in a sea of chillies.

This was one of my favorite food for supper when I was growing up in Pontian. The shop sold rice with cooked dishes and will opened late into the night as they also cater to those fishermen coming home from sea in the early morning.

Judy was the one who brought it up again when we had lunch with Rani in May. Judy, a Singaporean, who came to visit once back in 1993 or 1994. Only once and she remembered for life!

They closed or moved to somewhere else due to some family feud. Over the years, I have always asked mum where did they go since dad and mum know the people, who's who cousin or something but I never got an answer and I made the assumption that they stop selling.

Anyway, I reminiscent with friends a few weeks back about this shop near the bridge and lo and behold I was told they are now selling at the stalls opposite Pei Chun primany school! I told mum but she did not send dad to buy from there. I don't know why.

Last Friday, mum called to ask if I was going home and what to buy for dinner. I suggested this fish and dad went to buy. When I got home they were 2 left on the table and I finished both, that's how delicious it was. Dad grumbled that mum keep sending him elsewhere to buy food .... LOL!!!

How good was it? Well, mum had it 3 days in a row.....

Day 2 was last Wed!!!

I know, my 'lil sis called early this morning to complain already, "Why no updates after Day 1".

It's not my fault you know... I woke up this morning and its Day .... I lost count. Time flies nowadays.

ok, if I remember correctly there were a lot of commotion on Day 2. The management send the termite people to come look at my room since they heard got termite but they knew that for a couple of years already! Anyway, to cut the story short, we cannot clear the parquet because they want to set the 'bait' and it will take 6 - 8 weeks for it to work. Sigh!

We went ahead with the bathroom... did not take pictures, sorry.

The next few days gone like a blurr. Probably because have to wake up really early, not enough sleep? Will try to snap a photo of the work in the bathroom later.

Just day 8 since the fateful night that Emily and I made the pact to try to move that scale (not literally) ...

After 7 days of instant oatmeal with low fat milk powder and wolfberries for breakfast... I must say this delicious mee is simply one of the reason why I am obese all my life!

Donuts? Well, food always put a smile on my face... ^_* Do you know that these are the current fads? People are actually queing up to buy and the queue can be quite long. Even got TV programs about them...

But what really put a smile on my face was this.... (Rozita asked for my address so I know something was coming in the mail but I didn't know what.)

Found in my mail box this morning was a handmade card and bento belt from Rozita. How sweet is that?

Happy bento-ing!! Not that I have been doing that much. I don't know that I have been giving advise but am glad that Rozita thought so. LOL!!!

Roz, thanks very much for the lovely card and belt. They will also serve to remind me that I have to keep on bento-ing...

Whenever I think of doing nothing which I have been doing, it will remind me of something I read from Winnie the Pooh. So, I goggle as you can find almost anything you can't remember goggling, and found Nothing's important - an interesting read about nothing.
I was looking for this:
“I like that too,” said Christopher Robin, “but what I like
doing best is Nothing.”
“How do you do Nothing?” asked Pooh, after he had wondered for a long time.

It was another one of those days that emphasize I am so blessed!!

One day last week, I came to work with just tomatoes because Fiona got other ingredients for a sandwich - wholemeal bread and tuna... So, that was tuna sandwich for breakfast.

Then Twister showed up with the above and hey, there's my lunch... ^_* Fried eggs on the left and stuff green chilies on the right. (My mouth is watering as I type.) Twister posts recipes on her blog, if you don't already know, but its all in chinese. I offered and tried/attempted to translate(with much help from Fiona) them to english as someone requested but think I failed to come up with anything.

You can find the original recipe here. And below translated to english...

Stuffed Green Chilies

Ingredients
- 8 green chilies
- 1 slice lean pork (chopped)

For meat seasoning
- a little bit of parseley
- a little bit of five spice powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil

For the sauce
- chopped garlic
- chopped shallots
- taucheo (yellow bean sauce)
- cornstrach (add in water)

Method:
1. Prepare the green chilies for stuffing - clean the green chilies and slit in the middle. Discard the seeds.
2. Chopped lean pork, add in all the seasonings, stir in one direction and marinate for 3 hours.
3. Stuff the meat paste into the green chilies.
4. Heat up some oil in a wok and fry the green chilies until golden in color. Dish up.
5. Using the same wok, leave some oil, stir fry the chopped garlic, shallots until fragant. Add in the taucheo and some water. Thicken the sauce with corn starch and ready to serve.

In the middle, kimchi and pickled black bean. Bottom and then clockwise - meat floss, bitter gourd stuff with meat (yong tou fu), onion fried eggs and a fish ball.

I had one pre gym and the other after gym because I started going to the gym during lunch break for an hour. Happy for me, Emily? But my weight can't seem to go down. It is stuck at the same level.... Sorry, I lied again.... it might have increase just a little bit...

Yestesdays's fare was biscuit spread with salmon paste(already ate one not in the the picture) and salad of cucumber, tomato and apple with a tablespoon of olive oil dressing. Surprisingly, it was enough for lunch. ^_*

Mum and SIL came home from KL on Monday and brought some packages back for me from my 'lil sis. She even marked out 'for lunch' and 'for snack' on the packages.... LOL!!! So I got a fresh batch of the tofu pouch and kimchee, etc... Got another couple more bento box, egg mould and a sunflower silicon cup. Thanks very much 'lil sis, here's a big hug from me.

So, I made Inari, cut some peppers and tomatoes for salad(more than shown above) and the edamame in my new silicon cup. That was on Tuesday.

Seeing no updates from me, my 'lil sis actually gave me a morning call yesterday to wake me up and make my bento.... HAHAHAHA!!! Luckily she called, I was going to snooze some more. I did froze some of the rice I cooked on Tuesday and made Onigiri (rice ball). I think I must have done something wrong, I just took them out from the freezer and put them in my box. Came lunch time they were not frozen but very cold and they tasted absolutely yukky!! Blah!! Just one bite and I close the lid.

Luckily I also grab a frozen pack of Black Bean Chicken soup that mum cooked and froze for me a couple of weeks ago. I put it in my small slow cooker to heat it up... ^_*

Moral of the story ................. - always have a backup!

This was from last week. Edamame, carrot in star shape and a failed shaped boiled egg. Did not take a pic of the bottom tier as it has another failed shaped boiled egg, leftovers from the cut out star carrot and some edamame... so now you know why I did not post this earlier. ^_* Don't know why the boiled eggs were so soft. Did not boil long enough or was the egg too fresh?

I have been using this set of bento box over and over again. Why? Because I can't get rid of the food smell after washing. So, will leave it out to air and then the next day instead of taking out a new one just use them again because don't want to get all of them smelling like food... make sense?

This was yesterday bento. The night before SIL cooked noodles, stir fried capsicum, julienne cucumber, mixed it up with black rice vinegar, soy sauce and sesame oil. Simply delicious!! I didn't even warm it up.

I thought it might not be enough as I had twice that amount the night before and also because got this sautéed minced meat with capsicums that mum made during the weekend. The original recipe was Aunty Mary’s, using mock duck meat. But mum said better to stay away from China made product with so many unflattering news about them. Supposed to spread it on the bun and add cheese on top and toast it. But I just have it like that with the noodles. And that's apple in the other box.

I already had a couple of 'epok-epok' that Fiona bought for breakfast when the phone rang...

My ex-driver called to ask me to collect a piece of her father's birthday cake which she promised to bring but I forgot all about it. Its Secret Recipe's Chocolate mud cake......

I can tell you I didn't have a chance to feel hungry yesterday.......

Leftovers from last night... duck meat, brown rice and bitter gourd. Ok, I lied... there was another box of the duck meat that was not in the picture. It was still nice and warm and I was hungry, so I'd some for breakfast and finished the rest around 11.45am. ^_*

Lunch was tea and 'loti peng with kaya' from the kopi tiam plus pineapple, papaya and guava from the fruit stall. I started to bring own containers to pack the fruits. I'd an extra container so got my colleague to use it and safe a few more plastic bags!

Managed to burnt some calories at the gym yesterday. Will try to continue today.....

and there is nothing much to report. Busy with work and seriously you do not want to know the details...

Nothing to report craft wise and no bento either. My SIL did cook mee hoon one morning and I packed for lunch with otak-otak.

Another morning she made corn pancakes with wholewheat flour... I had for breakfast and lunch.

Yikes!! No greens...

I wanted to break this lethagicness that I had forever. Lazy to go to the gym, lazy for bento, lazy to do cross-stitch, weary about the stock market... Told Emily I'll break the cycle this week.

Came Monday, I packed a salad and had 2 hardboiled eggs for breakfast. Healthy start, right? I even had wholewheat bread for snacking. Went to the gym for the spinning class after work but ... very paiseh... I almost fainted when the class was over that I had to sit down on the floor. Obviously, after that I had to rest and that's what I did for the past few days.... ^_*

Came Tuesday, lazy to pack anything... but as I am naturally a blessed person, Twister came with some mashed potato salad thinking that I can have with my bento. The bee hoon was from Fiona's bento and a client came by with yam cake!!!

Speaking of being blessed... did I mentioned that I got the 3rd prize from Snazzynsuch, Tini's giveaway. I received it last week and I haven't even thank Tini, yet. Tini... here's a big hug from me!!! Thank you very much! Someone else I know got the 2nd prize!! How lucky were we?

Remember I mentioned that I was busy playing the text twister game from DIGI a while ago... I had a surprise when Digi called and asked for my IC no. "Why do you want my IC no? I did not switch from Maxis." Talked about being paranoid. But shouldn't she explained first before asking for my IC no. LOL!!! Anyway, I won the consolation prize and it arrived by courier yesterday. 2 movies tickets and a RM50 cash voucher from Parkson. Someone else I know also won a consolation prize, we were playing the game together trying to beat each other's scores... See, not only am I blessed, people around me are also blessed!!! ^_*

But the best of all is when you received something and don't know who they are from....

I try to refrain myself from jumping up and down. Seriously, I don't know why I want these for. They are too kiddie for me... I tried calling my sister but she was busy and said she will call me back.

Then it just occur to me... they are not for me. I am just the courier service to Singapore. Must be lah!!! LOL!!!!!

Seems like I have two bento # 30, then this must be # 32?

White rice sprinkled with a generous amount of sakura denbu. Bottom tier, that's otak-otak and a couple pieces of 'yong tou fu'. Added the green apples for colour...

To tell the truth, I cooked the rice in the rice cooker and heated the otak-otak in the oven toaster in the office. The 'yong tou fu' was from Fiona's bento. And I ate times 2 the above! Actually, I had already ate half of my food before I plated it into the above boxes. You know, just to take a photo....LOL!!!!

Well, the otak-otak was the main menu for a couple of days...

This was last weekend's frog leg's herbal soup... it was delicious and the aunty said its very easy to cook. Will try to get the recipe from her or easier, just get her to cook for me again. HAHAHAHA!!!

I was running late so I pack up my lunch and had it around 2.30pm at where I work during the weekends. ^_* Brown rice sprinkle with sakura denbu, I am going to be using a lot of it b'cos its going to be expiring soon. I even sprinkle sakura denbu on my hard boiled eggs this morning.

The upper box, veg - kangkong, petai and bitter gourd, tofu and meat cook in soy sauce. Papaya in another box.

SIL bought this bag from a RM5 store. I did not catch the name of the store. She wanted me to try it out and see if it keeps the food warm till noon.

A lot of water condensation. Not good right? Anyway, the food wasn't warm. It was just room temperature, not cold. If you know what I mean.... ^_*

What I had was 2 chicken drumstick( last of the frozen batch that mum made for me), brown rice sprinkled with sakura denbu, edamame, korean pickles and japanese radish pickle. The pickles were cold, so I pack them separately. Plate into the box above before taking a pic. Not in the picture were 2 small red and green apple.

Another bento of leftovers from dinner - vegetables and fish. I started eating then remembered have not taken a pic.. ^_*

I am still trying to get use to the idea of straight out of the fridge to work bento. I pack the upper box with the leftovers the night before and place in the fridge. I only heat up the rice in the morning. I suppose by noon the food is already room temperature whether from the fridge or heated up in the morning? Taste wise, I think it was the same... probably because I am not particular that my food must be heat hot.

Because they were on sale at Spotlight, Singapore? Don't even know if I know how to crochet or knit with them. But they were really cheap..... 50 cents per ball!!! We went to Golden Dragon at Chinatown after that and saw something like that selling at S$5.50!!? Darn... I should have bought the other colours, too. Or maybe not???

Unique Flowers Stamps First Day Issue

Did I ever mention that I am also a 'de facto' stamp collector? Which is part of the reason why I am fascinated with Mail Arts. (Ok, ok... you are sick of hearing it already!)

Chicken Wine Bento

Its a combo bento today... Fiona cooked the Chicken wine which is in the gourmet container. I brought the rice and vegs.

I steamed the white rice, carrot and edamame this morning. The brown rice is for me. Fiona prefer white rice... and the main dish - Chicken Wine. Smacking my lips, the chicken wine is just superb... The secret ingredient is the home made wine. Burp! Ops, excuse me..

Lui cha Bento without the cha...

I am assuming the 'cha' in Lui cha means the tea soup? Fiona pack the two bento's above and went to 'ta pau' the 'cha' but the store owner, based on his principle, refuse to sell only the soup. Tell you a secret, Fiona saw his wife selling the soup only before....

Anyway, here's Fiona's Lui cha. Don't know what time she got up to prepare the above, she always arrives in the office first. Looks yummy, right? And don't you envy that so many people cook for me. ^_*

I pour mine into my metal bowl and mixed it all up. It was a good lunch and then I went to catch the 1.05pm Mama Mia movie with my currently ex-driver (who knows when I would need her services again). No wonder so many people were gushing about this movie... it was really entertaining.

Did not get a chance to post yesterday's bento yesterday. (Maybe because don't have Emily to "Wei, no bento today?") Glad to report that I went to gym yesterday... did an hour on the cross-trainer machine and half hour of spinning. I was feeling a little giddy after the half hour and thought better don't push myself too hard... LOL!!!

Must learn how to make acar from my SIL. I know there is cucumber, cauliflower, carrot and peanut. Mixed them all together with something else... will let you know when I find out, if I remember. Over the weekend, my mum 'lo' (simmered in dark soy sauce?) a batch of chicken drumlets and wings for me. Yes, my mum loves me alot!

3lilangels smsed me asking if I would go to KL for the Raya break. Instead, I enticed her with a trip toDaiso... So, leaving the husbands behind to fend for themselves, both my sis came home last Wed with the kids.

Last Friday bento was done by 3lilangels. So nice of her to wake up early to send me off to work with a bento, huh? Ah... peace again at home again after everyone gone back to KL... LOL!!

Sibeh paiseh... Just found out that you can actually put the cutlery on top of the bento box. Did my sis tell me that before and I forgot about it?

Today's lunch.... oversteamed brocolli, carrot and cauliflower in the upper box. SlL's Fried rice, leftover from last night and 'ngo hiang' from the freezer which I toasted in the office.

I think the rice is too much plus I'd nasi lemak for breakfast. Too much carbo today.

Don't know why nowadays whenever I eat something, I'll hear Emily's little voice in my head, "No picture ah?"

This morning, Fiona brought some 'kee chang' someone gave her parents. What's so special about these 'kee chang'? They were from Thailand... Its very fragrant and nice with kaya. So, that was breakfast.

Sometimes, when I ran out of 2 in 1 Cafe 21, I'll make kopi the traditional way.....

No, I don't make the whole pot. Just half, enough for 2 cups of black kopi... one for me and another for my driver. My car is in the workshop... long story...

Use a new box today.

I used the rice mould that Emily gave me to make the above shaped brown rice. Don't ask me why I have to shape the rice... taste the same to me. Put in some carrots, acar and radish pickle to fill up the gaps... Protein today was the leftover chicken from last night soup. The rest were acar, korean pickles and the radish pickle. Definately tastier than yesterday's cauliflowers.....

Today's lunch is rather bland but healthy? No, oil. Boiled cauliflower and broccoli, cut tomatoes. Brown rice sprinkle with furikake in the bottom box. There were some more cauliflower and broccoli hidden beneath the rice. Can't stand it, had to add some meat floss while eating....

By the way, the Little Oxford Dictionary said that the broccoli is a hardy variety of cauliflower!!?? I didn't know that....

This was last Saturday's bento for dinner. Brown rice with some leftover petai. Peppers tossed with apple cider vinegar, cherry tomato, leftover chicken nuggets from KFC. Fruits - Orange and apple.

This was Tuesday bento. Brown rice sprinkle with black sesame seeds. Korean pickles and duck meat in the upper box. My usual salad - lettuce, peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes. The only difference was I pack the lettuce in a bento box not a plastic bag and I forgot my metal bowl....

Just found out that another colleague quietly started a blog last month and already have quite a following but alas it is in mandarin.... I can only admire the pictures.

Finally on Friday I used the packet Inari that I bought from KL last, last trip....

Top box was the Inari filled with brown rice. I sprinkle some sesame seeds and sakura denbu on top to make it look better. Bottom box 2 types of korean pickle, japanese pickle radish, acar and shaped hard boil eggs.

Fiona fried mee hoon. Top box was my breakfast!

These are my birthday present from Emily. The was a mooncake, too... not in the picture because obviously it has already been consumed.

This comes in four colours but I only got the red one. Emily bought a pink one for Fiona and she loves it so much that she might want to get the other colours as well.

The picture was blurry because I took it from my handphone... I did not plan this bento on Monday but SIL made apricot bread and I just have to pack it. I went to KL last weekend so that my eldest sis and BIL can buy me a birthday dinner... and I get to go to the KL first Bento Party organised by Pat and Emily. (Sounds much better than saying I went to KL for a Bento Party... LOL!!!)

Anyway, still have not got use to taking pictures. So, no pictures from the scrumptious Korean dinner that Cici (that's what we call our eldest sis, should be in Hakka not Hokkein but we all speak Hokkien and not Hakka, go figure!) and BIL bought us (3lilangels' family and I).

Today is also the 1st day of the UPSR exam. Good luck to Janelle, my niece and Darryl, my nephew. No pressure, you just need to get 5 A's... ^_*

Now, the Bento Party... what can I say? I am still amazed that Pat and Emily were able to organize such an awesome event so like effortlessly (Of course, I did not know what goes on behind the planning and all). But we have it all, there's the goodie bag with a lot of sponsored stuffs; a little how-to Bento talk by Pat and save the environment talk by Emily; buffet lunch spread; competition and shopping!!!! Yup... am a year older ^_* Wanted to forget about this day but the SMS started early and I'd almost forgotten about it. Sigh!

On top of that I get to eat 2 different cakes....

A mocca cake bought by Fiona... She would have forgotten if another colleague who shares the same birthday did not come by to wish me Happy Birthday. Guess it is difficult to forget... but we promised not to embarrass ourselves with birthday songs this year. Last year, there were too many around the office.

I thought of calling Cyndy not to get a cake but then I wanted to forget about this day and thought perhaps being pregnant, she might lose some of her brain memory cells... Unfortunately, she had already pre-ordered this Tiramisu cake yesterday.

Oh well.. It's my birthday and both cakes are delicious!!!! Slurp!! But please... no songs or candles.

Has been a busy week... Got poison into playing the Digi word game.

My friend Leng came to visit on Monday and we had lunch at Kinsahi. I asked how long has it been since she last saw me? 3 months? Well, do I look like I lost some weight? Bad news was, she replied.. "Yeah, but I expected more since you are so busy with gym." Sigh!!

Anyway, wasn't planning in doing any bento-ing today but this is what's left from the impromtu put together this morning...

This was what we made for lunch - Tuna mixed with red, green, yellow peppers and light mayo, boiled egg and pineapples toasted on a piece of wholemeal bread. Toasted another piece of bread to cover it.

My first bento this week... Fiona is being lazy, too. No bento from her. Actually, I shouldn't blame bento for me being unsociable. I did not bring bento the last 3 days and I only had lunch with my colleagues on Mon. I was invited to lunch by my cousin on Tue and I had buns for lunch on Wed... (That is, if you much know... LOL!!!)

So, today's lunch is brown rice, edaname and tomatoes in the upper box and on the bottom box is 'ngo hiang', some more edaname and red, green, yellow peppers. 'Instant' miso soup in the Chicken Soup cup. ^_*

Received these last week from Lillie and Pamela for the exchange at NCC. Sorry to say that I have yet to mail out mine to them. I am so way behind. I found out that there is a trade off, if I go to the gym, I'll be too tired after that to do any cross-stitch. When I do cross-stitch, I'll be going to bed really late and wake up late in the morning and hence no bento. Does that mean that cross-stitch is not good for my health? ^_*

This Seaside theme MA is from Lillie. I was thinking of stitching lighthouse too for her MA... LOL!! But good thing I changed my mind and stitched something else.

There is a cute little rubber seahorse at the back and the backstitches were something she made up. Wonderful, isn't it?

Summer Theme MA from Pamela. Stitched on linen band? Very nice. I don't think we can get this type of fabric here. Pam also send some postcard of the lovely view from her home, a pinkeep and a blackbird designs chart.

Yesterday I did not pack any lunch, so I called Ah Ching if she wants to do lunch with me. After an exciting badminton match between Lee Chong Wei and Sony of Indonesia which ends exactly around 12.30 for us all to go for lunch, I went out and the normal lunch gang were waiting for me. Ah Ching told them that I am going to "Zhu Gong"(mandarin for leaving the palace) and the humble subjects were waiting for me..... HAHAHAHA!!!

4pm... not really hungry but I do have a size to maintain. Someone once told me that during a woman's time of the month, you can very safely eat whatever you want without worrying about the weight being added on. With leftover tuna mixed with light mayo, and the capsicum from earlier and some cheese plus onions toasted for about 4 mins... Voila! you get the above.

Will have to go burnt some calories now...

Before going into the oven... as I forgot the pineapple, I substitute with rambutan but Fiona decline for her piece. She is not as adventures as I am... LOL!!!

But who is counting right? I wonder if those 3 people got tired of the same futomaki picture already...

I made one roll yesterday and cut into 9 pieces. I had it throughout the day, ie breakfast, morning break, lunch and tea break..... LOL!!! The first box on the left had tamagoyaki and 3 pieces of the futomaki and then was replace by the celery and tempeh curtesy from Fiona... I did not tell her that I'll be making futomaki as I wasn't sure if I'll wake up to make them. She brought her own bento of veg mostly and took 1 piece of the futomaki only.

Did not go to the gym because I forgot my shoes...... ^_*

Anyway, yesterday morning just packed the leftovers carrot, cucumber and tuna from last week and some cherry tomatoes. Mixed the tuna with some light mayo, nothing interesting.

The other two boxes were Fiona's : Tempeh and cherry tomatoes in the white box and stir-fried brocolli and carrots. She definately put in more effort than me! ^_* Plus she also made breakfast:

Also using gardenia wholemeal bread with a slice of ham and fish floss which she had already mixed with sesame seeds and nori. Since I wanted to take oats for breakfast, I kept the bread for lunch... smart huh?

Yup, I made futomaki again but this time with the help of the mould. Almost did not have enough rice to cover everything which is carrot, cucumber, tamagoyaki, pickled radish, fish floss and tuna in a little mayo. I forgot about the edaname. Age is catching up or was it an early sign of dementia.... Luckily, I remembered to tell Fiona yesterday not to pack bento as I'll be making futomaki today. The blue box is for her. I have 3 pieces only in my box because one went into my mouth already.

I wanted to come early today to sign in the computer terminal at 8:08:08. (My colleague's idea) Suppose to be an auspicious time hopefully will bring more business? Another colleague who usually comes late however thinks it is as auspicious to open her eyes at 8:08:08 at home....... Who is right? We will see.. Anyway, I was late and only signed in at 8:38. Hey, got 8 also what. LOL!!!!

Forgot to add (before my colleague corrects me), Clark Hatch is having their Grand Opening today. I went for my second lunch there. I ate fried mee hoon and a few pieces of kuih. They cater from Sedap Corner which is very famous for their kuih-kuihs.....

Last night, SIL made bread with raisins, walnut and cinnamon. She mixed the flour with some wholemeal flour. So today's lunch is homemade bread with meat floss and kei chi.... Must have some veggie, right? Stole some from Fiona's bento... LOL!!! Very satisfying lunch!

I used the same line my sis used on me, "Too much rice" on Fiona and she has not pack rice for 2 days. On the left she has tempeh, long beans, baby carrot and tomato. On the right just japanese cucumber.

Yesterday's bento: White rice (I added the edaname and kei ci for effect), sweet & sour fish and veg.
Today's fried rice and cabbage.

Bento # 8 & 9

My sister brought me shopping at the 100Y shop in SS2 last Sunday... bought a couple of Maki mould and these were what I make the last 2 days. I used to make using the bamboo mat but it is easier with the mould. Less messy, too.

Yesterday : The yellow one is the japanese pickeled radish and the other is meat floss. The pink stuff is japanese fish floss or known as sakura denbu and edaname for the greens....

The rambutans were from a colleague's garden. Gave to me just when I was taking a pic... I also had an overload of other fruits like mangoesteen and duku.

Today's maki look a bit better. I made tamagoyaki again.

Stitching Bee & Laptop Sleeve

Over the weekend its the Stitching Bee at NNC again and I time it together to learn how to make the laptop sleeve from Tini.

My very own laptop sleeve. I can't say I make it myself but I do have my hands in it. Tini (and I :P) finished it in about 4 hours... ^_*

If you must know... its my breakfast and lunch today!! LOL!!! Raw carrot, cucumber and onions plus a can of tuna(not in pic). I had the corn bread with egg mayo stuffing for breakfast. Actually, the chilli nori with the overflowed egg mayo tasted better than the bread. ^_*

Ops! Sorry about the previous post. That was not included in the bento counting. Nik was asking what is Bento and I thought I show her a Malaysian one... LOL!! What was I thinking.. plastic bag and styloform box!!! Next time will bring this along when 'tau pau-ing'..... Then can be considered a real Bento? ^_*

Better still if I have leftovers and no need takeaway.... I save half of last night dinner for lunch today(Good thing too, else would have over eaten). Cut down the brown rice to half(happy now, my dear sis?) and the rest were lady's fingers, some chicken from the 'chicken in wine', baked beans and fish...

I wonder what comes to your mind when you read that? LOL!!

Went to 'ta pau' (takeaway) from the food court. I seldom go to the food court here because I find them expensive. For this after 10% discount, its RM5.70! Vegetarian food - stir fried long beans, baked pumpkin, tofu in sweet sauce and the imitation meat...

Next time I'll remember to remove the plastic bag before I take a pic. Better still if I say, no need plastic bag.

I started to eat when I decided to pour it into my metal bowl. I swear it taste much better!!

Master a Language that Connects the World.

I like the sound of it. What Language? Information Technology (IT), that’s the language that connects the world from wherever you are. In order not to be left behind by the new technology, I did do a diploma course on Computer Studies many years ago when I was working in Singapore’s hotel industry. I wonder what I would be doing now had I continued to pursue with a degree in Computer Studies.

I have been spending a lot of time on the computer but there are still so many things I do not know about these new IT stuffs. This opportunity from Cisco was in my mail box and the first thing that strikes me when I click on the link was the sentence I used for the title of this post. I would like to learn more about this language that connects the world. Perhaps it is time for another upgrade.

Look what I received from Margaret for this exchange. A lovely MA with a bird that sew with its beaks.... LOL!! The goodies are a piece of hand dyed evenweave - colour name: purple butterfly from ozarksampler.com, a six strand sweets, a mini cross stitch kit, another stand of overdyes floss and lots and lots of buttons..... My Futomaki...

Left a little bit of rice, so I thought I cooked them all and these I made.... ^_*

I did not plan properly, so overmade(then some people can get to eat) and time consuming basically deciding what to do and look for things. While the rice was steaming, I made the tamagoyaki and cut the veg for my salad. Perhaps, I should have done this last night? I used just a few sticks of carrot and cucumber from the lot that I cut. And used up 1 can of tuna for these, actually I try to use it all so I do not have to store them....

Also made my usual salad... here trying to place the futomaki nicely for a presentable pic but the nicer ones(my excuse) were already in people's(mine included) stomach... ^_*

Now, I need to go walk off some of these rice........ and continue eating later.

Bento # 5

I am using the word Bento loosely here... Its not exactly lunch-in-a-box is it? ^_* Got up late, so just grab the cherries tomatos and lettuce from the fridge, 3 (small) oranges, a green apple and a can of salmon spread... Bought the wheat bun from Lavender(actually got my colleague to get for me while I cut the fruits).

I ate the one on the left first (had to wait for the wheat bun to arrive). I was quite satisfied but thought I might be hungry later so when the wheat bun arrived I spread the salmon spread, took a pic and ate it. That's when I feel like having another one.... of the wheat bun with salmon spread and lettuce!!!! (Licking my lips as I type ^_*)

In case you are wondering, Emily... I'd Nasi Lemak for breakfast.... LOL!!!
