Mail Art from Lody.

This is a personal exchange between Lody and I. I still have not decided what to stitch but Lody has already sent this with some other things together in a package to Margaret. It arrived just in time for our Stitching Bee last Saturday for Margaret to passed to me.

The back
and it actually opened up to this...

Isn't it pretty? It is Lody's own design and 100% hand-sewn! Supposed to be the size just nice for a cheque book. But our cheque books are bigger here. ^_* There are partition inside and I thought of using it for a purse.

Thanks again Lody, now I must go figure what to stitch for you.

Stitching or Spelling Bee?

It is another Saturday and I have not even blog about my trip to KL last Saturday for the NNC Stitching Bee. Incidentally my niece had a Spelling Bee at Times Square organized by The New Straits Times. That got my BIL confused; he thought I went to KL for another Spelling Bee…. LOL!!!

I haven't finished but too lazy to continue now...

Certified Financial Planner

I have never mentioned this before but I am a member of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia since 2005. Not to brag or anything, I was one of the only 2 persons who passed the exam on the first sitting within our company. ( Am I smart or what? LOL!!)

Even though I have this little CFP trademark on my name card, I have never actually practice Financial Planning like George Divel. I suppose anyone who wants financial advice will rather go to an experienced advisor like him.

Hm… I should really be more proactive.

Completed...blanket!

Notice it is without the word 'Baby'? ^_* Because I just want to keep this for myself!

It measures 39" x 30". Crocheted with 2 balls of 400g Bernat 4 ply worsted weight cotton.

This is what's left of a big ball of cotton...

Tagged by Lody

Where I was 10 years ago: I was in Pontian working at the Petrol Station. (I still work there during the weekends.) Previously, I was working in Singapore. While in between jobs, my dad asked me to come home and help him managed the Petrol Station for a while. I remember, my elder sister asking me what was I doing rotting in Pontian… LOL!! Later, I took up a diploma course in Investment Analysis and changed my line altogether. My first diploma was on Hotel management.

Five things on my to-do list for today:
1. Pay some bills
2. Update blog with Tag from Lody
3. Gym
4. Crochet blanket – six more rows to finish
5. Mail Art to start

Snack foods I like: I love to eat… but supposed to be on a diet… yes, I know it’s a four letter word!

If I were a billionaire, I’d: Will think about it when I am a millionaire…

Places I’ve lived: Pontian is my hometown.. I still live there during the weekends. I was in various parts of Switzerland for 2 years for a Hotel Management course. Worked in Singapore for about 7 years. Now in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

People I want to know more about: Tini, Mel, Nik and June.... ^_*

Red Theme MA exchange for Taija

I had mailed this Mail Art out on the 11th of June and it arrived at Taija's on the 18th.

I stitched this MA on 18th ct white DMC Aida. Normally, I use 14ct Aida. Which reminds me that I forgot to answer Emily's question about her MA. Emily, it 14ct... ^_*

Here's the back of the MA. I love this pair of birds. Those of you who are stitching EMS Rose Sampler might find it very familiar....

Payperpost

Guess what? I have just got approved by payperpost. I am looking to earn extra money for online shopping. It’s great for someone I know or anyone who is an online shopholic. But seriously who doesn’t want to earn extra money if they can?

I got to know about payperpost from Tini. Thanks, Tini!! I hope you’ll get your referral fee. ^_*

So, what is this payperpost all about? Advertising in a word. They will check out your blog and then approve it if it meets all their criteria. Once your blog is approved then you’ll get to write sponsored post. You can read all about it at payperpost.com

I have to admit I am not altogether sure of what I am doing. Hopefully, I’ll learn more as I go. What I did was to register for a paypal account as PPP pay thru paypal and then went to register at PPP. After that, I submitted my blog for approval. I did not get approved immediately as some requirements were not met. I resubmitted after a while and finally got approved.

By the way, you will even be paid when you refer someone to payperpost. So, if you are thinking of earning some extra $$$$ please click the image below and follow the instructions. You can leave a message here if you need any help signing up. Have fun!!

Mail Art all the way from Belgium

I don't normally go home in the afternoon but I did today to collect something for courier to Penang... that's another story. And looked what I found in the Mailbox...

A very colourful and cute Teddy MA for an exchange at Mail Art Friends from Janien who lives in Belgium. It is also the heaviest MA that I ever received. I never knew one can pack so much in a MA... and a bar of chocolate, too. LOL!! I am absolutely amazed.

Thank you, Janien for a fabulous Mail art.

Bento

There seems to be a craze now, doing these lunch boxes... at least my sister is. This is what she made for her daughter. The egg did not turn out right because it was too small for the mould...

The assesories that goes with it....

Saw this book in Popular Book Store, so got it for her....

This is how the egg is supposed to look like done with the egg mould. The size of the egg cannot be too small or too big....

And this is Melody egg mould...
